National Anthropology Museum
This was the first anthropology museum established in Spain, in the year 1875.
Located in a 19th-century building, the museum aims to present an overview of different cultures and promote intercultural understanding and mingling. Its collections comprise items from different places in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Its exhibits and activities establish the cultural similarities and differences that exist throughout the world and foster tolerance towards other peoples and cultures.

Timetables:
Tuesday-Saturday, 9.30am-8pm. Sundays, 10am-3pm. Closed: Mondays, 1 January, 1 May and 24, 25 and 31 December.
Entry fee:
General admission: €2.40. Reduced: €1.20 (students with ID).
Free: Saturdays after 2.30pm, Sundays, 18 May (International Museum Day), 12 October (Spain's National Holiday) and 6 December (Spanish Constitution Day); retirees, over 65s, unemployed persons and under 18s, with ID and groups by prior arrangement, members of National or International Museum Associations, teachers, national tourist guides
